The Novice level is open to anyone without prior competitive experience in any organization. Competitors must move on to the Open level after they have competed at the Novice level.
This is an awesome opportunity for people to get the exhilarating experience of showcasing the results of their hard work and healthy lifestyle with other first-time competitors.

There are no age, height or weight divisions within the NOVICE level categories.

The Open level is for competitors of all ages and all experience levels except for UFE PRO competitors (Elite level competitors ARE permitted to compete at the Open level). The Open level is a good place to start for those that are new to UFE or first time competitors that want a higher level of competition than the Novice level. These events feature top notch stage production and are a great opportunity to be seen, as many top photographers will be scouting for talent to shoot and/or feature in industry magazines or ad campaigns for companies within the fitness industry. Top placing competitors will qualify to compete at the Elite level. There is also one special Open level event in which the overall winners in each category will become eligible UFE PRO’s (provided there are 10 competitors in each respective category) – UFE Revolution in Cobourg, Ontario.

The divisions within each Open level category are as follows:
Men’s Fitness Model: Open, Masters (40+)
Men’s Physique: Height Class A, Height Class B, Masters (40+)
Bodybuilding: Junior, Masters, Grandmasters, Lightweight, Middleweight, Light-heavyweight, Heavyweight
Bikini: Short, Tall, Masters 35, Masters 45
Women’s Fitness: Short, Tall, Masters 35, Masters 45
Figure: Short, Tall, Masters 35, Masters 45
Women’s Physique: Open, Masters (35+)
Fitness Model: Short, Tall, Masters 35, Masters 45
Glamour: Short, Tall

*Separation into short and tall classes is based on a minimum of 10 competitors in the open division. Otherwise, competitors will be combined into one single open division.

*Separation into Masters 35 and Masters 45 classes is based on a minimum of 5 competitors in each age division. Otherwise, competitors may be combined into one single Masters division.

Men’s Bodybuilding: top 2 from each weight-class, winner from each age division

The Elite level is open to competitors who have qualified from any UFE event according to the criteria listed in the “Open Level,” any NBA Australia event according to the criteria set forth by the NBA Australia or any qualified Pro competitor from another organization. Competitors are qualified for Elite level status for a 2 contest season period from the time in which they qualify (including the contest season in which they qualify). Should a competitor fail to re-qualify for Elite status in that 2 year period, they will revert to being an Open level competitor again. Elite competitors can re-qualify for Elite status by receiving a top placing at an Open UFE or NBA Australia event again, or by using their status at the Elite level prior to expiration.

Elite level competitors are permitted to compete at the Open level as well.

There are no height or weight divisions within Elite level categories as we are simply looking for the best of the best competitors to move onto the Professional level. At the UFE World Championships, a Masters division for all Elite level categories will be featured for men and women 40 years of age and above.

• 1st place Masters Elite competitors at the UFE World Championships
• Top 2 Elite competitors at any other Elite level event.

UFE’s PRO level is the pinnacle of success within the realm of natural fitness competition. Our PRO competitors are of the highest caliber and the cash and prizes awarded to our PROs are a reflection of this fact. Our PROs will be a force in the industry, being heavily marketed by UFE to the many connections we have established in the industry and as UFE continues to grow, the opportunities that will be available to our competitors are endless. These opportunities will involve massive exposure and, in some cases, significant cash compensation. Our PRO competitors will be awarded the stunning UFE rose gold PRO card!
As our international affiliate, Natural Bodybuilding Australia (NBA) competitors may qualify to compete in UFE’s Elite or PRO levels based on the criteria of the NBA Australia. As an Elite or PRO level competitor, NBA Australia competitors may compete at any UFE show featuring these levels, including the UFE World Championships.
