Once again, UFE is proudly represented by some of our best Professional level competitors in this issue. Zoe Mayol was our 2012 PRO Fitness Model Champion and, as such, was selected for a national marketing campaign that guaranteed her exposure in the pages of the #1 women’s fitness magazine. Since starting her competition career with UFE, this ambitious woman has founded a women’s competition resource site called Sisters in Shape (www.sisinshape.com) which has been growing exponentially almost every week. She has also appeared in SIX straight issues of Oxygen Magazine and is en route to becoming one of the magazine’s major stars. UFE PRO Fitness Model, Brianna Mogg Makes Waves in Oxygen Magazine!

In just one week, pick up the March ‘13 issue of Oxygen Magazine and find UFE PRO Fitness Model, Brianna Mogg throughout! Not only is she a credited contributor of the issue, but she is also featured as part of UFE’s multi-national marketing campaign in a full page ad AND a 3 page “Fat Blast” article!
Brianna started competing with UFE just last year, but her extreme work ethic and dedication paid off, resulting in her earning a UFE PRO card. It was at UFE Showdown, the show in which Brianna earned her PRO card, that industry legend, Glen Grant spotted her and caught some outstanding shots. Seeing that Brianna was a perfect ambassador for UFE and a great representation of our organization, UFE President, Sean Everingham then approached Oxygen with shots of Brianna and the rest is becoming history as Brianna sees her industry star rise!
UFE North American Championships Results in the March Issue of Oxygen Magazine!

We’re excited to see that Oxygen Magazine has published the results of the UFE North American Championships in the March ‘13 issue as part of a 1 page feature. This was a historic event in that this show featured the highest caliber of natural fitness competitors ever assembled on one stage, the most electrifying stage ever seen in natural fitness and that it featured our competitors as part of a live worldwide webcast, showcasing natural fitness across the globe! UFE has really taken the bar to a whole new level in natural fitness and we are extremely happy to be recognized in the world’s #1 women’s fitness magazine along with our incredible competitors! We look forward to an even bigger and more exciting year in 2013!
UFE PRO Bikini Champion, Erica Willick Shoots to Fame in Oxygen Magazine!

If you haven’t yet picked up your copy of the February ‘13 Oxygen Magazine, grab one now and check out UFE PRO, Erica Willick as she graces the pages throughout the entire magazine! Erica is featured as part of a full page ad for UFE’s multi-national marketing campaign as part of her prize package after winning the PRO Bikini Championship at the UFE North American Championships. However, Oxygen staffers also quickly picked up on her and included her in the contributors section and as part of a nice big “Trim Inches” article spread. Mark our words, this is just the beginning for Erica; we count on seeing her a lot more in the pages of Oxygen Magazine and as the leader of “Sisters in Shape”, a rapidly growing “sisterhood” of women empowering other women to compete in fitness competition.

UFE Athletes Part of Multinational Marketing Campaign for MuscleTech!

It’s what the whole point of UFE’s Fitness Model category is all about: to find the next stars of the fitness industry and help give them a platform to be seen by the right people who might help them get sponsored, appear in the pages of a leading magazine or get paid opportunities within the industry. UFE’s athletes have had unprecedented success in this area and it was shortly after the UFE North American Championships that we were approached by a member of MuscleTech’s marketing team who was looking for athletes that could appear a new ad campaign for one of the world’s biggest nutritional supplement companies. Fast forward a few months and FOUR athletes who competed in the UFE North American Championships are now part of a MULTI-NATIONAL ad campaign for a new line of products from MuscleTech. Their ads will appear in some of the biggest magazines in the industry giving them huge exposure. Not to mention all of the athletes were PAID. Last issue, two out of six women featured in Oxygen Magazine’s “Future of Fitness” section were UFE competitors. This month it’s THREE! We’re excited to see Jenna McNamara featured in the Future of Fitness after being shot by Chris V. Linton following her competition at last year’s UFE Halloween Mayhem. Julie-Anne Barbosa, who came away the big winner in UFE Halloween Mayhem’s Fitness Model category last year also appears in the feature while Meaghan Dunn, who competed with UFE on June 25th at UFE Showdown is the third young lady in the lineup. We would like to congratulate all three of these ladies and wish them continued success in the industry!

While exposure in the fitness industry is great, mainstream exposure is a true measure of large scale success and we are very excited to have competitors featured in two high end lifestyle magazines thanks to Korby Banner. For those that don’t know Korby, he is regularly featured on the TV show, “Style by Jury” and is a renowned makeup artist and photographer for the likes of Johnny Depp, Angelina Jolie, Claudia Schiffer and more. He is a regular attendee of our shows and has recruited several UFE competitors for fashion and physique shoots. As a result, you can find UFE competitors Scott McLelland, Matt Trudeau, and Paul Murawkski in the latest issues of Revive Magazine and Revive Magazine “Men’s Edition.” Revive Magazine is a high end health, beauty fitness and fashion magazine and the latest issues feature Trish Stratus and Chuck Liddell on the covers. This is an awesome step toward UFE competitors getting more exposure into mainstream magazines and modelling. We are very proud to see Sue Ling Yip and Hannah Bryant featured side by side in the “Future of Fitness” feature of the August 2011 issue of Oxygen Magazine, on newsstands now! Both ladies made their debuts at last year’s UFE Halloween Mayhem event and finished among the top out of a huge number of competitors to earn Elite status. They were also spotted by photographer, Chris Linton and were invited to do a shoot with him which was submitted to Oxygen.
You can spot both of these ladies on the UFE stage again in November at the UFE North American Championships. Hannah will be looking to earn her PRO card during the Elite Championships while Sue Ling will battle it out in the PRO Division Championships against the best of the best natural Figure competitors in North America!

This is the second ad campaign for Xenadrine that features the 2010 UFE Halloween Mayhem Male Fitness Model Champ. However, that for Jordan is just a drop in the bucket because the real congratulations is for becoming a proud first time papa! Vanda Hadarean Fashion Spread Appears in PIE Magazine After Shooting With Korby Banner!

Last year, as part of her prize package for winning the titles of “Ultimate Fitness Champion” and “Ultimate Female Fitness Model Champion” Vanda Hadarean was awarded $2000 CASH, a one year supplement sponsorship, a $2500 custom body sculpt and a photoshoot with a top industry photographer. When UFE says a “top” industry photographer, this isn’t some B.S. Joe Blow. In Vanda’s case, she had the opportunity to work with legendary photographer and makeup artist, Korby Banner, who has worked with the likes of Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and stars in his own show, “Style by Jury.” The results of this shoot can be seen in an incredible photo spread that appears in the current issue of PIE Magazine, a luxury lifestyle magazine. Well, it appears that TNT Nutrition was as happy with the calibre of competitors at UFE Chaos as we were because they have announced yet another signing of a UFE athlete after the show. This time it is UFE Chaos Junior Bodybuilding Champ Joey Berry! Joey Berry brought a full, symmetrical and ripped physique to the stage to take home the 1st place trophy. After the show local media in Cornwall, Ontario recognized his achievement and did a story on the 18 year old. We look forward to big things for Joey and thank TNT Nutrition for getting behind our athletes to help them realize their potential in this industry!

Nick Geris’ has been ascending rapidly in the bodybuilding world. Simone Sinclaire competed for her first time with UFE at UFE Chaos in 2010 where she had a dominant showing against fierce competition to take first place. She then solidified her position as one of the industry’s top Bikini competitors after taking second place at the UFE National Championships later in the year. So, it’s no wonder Simone is making a name for herself in the fitness industry. Two UFE Athletes Sign With TNT Nutrition After Winning UFE Chaos!

We tell our athletes at every show that supplement companies and magazines are in attendance and to make sure they bring their “A-games” because one can never know who might see them when competing on the UFE stage. Well, Michelle Price and Alain Gosselin found out shortly after their wins at UFE Chaos that TNT Nutrition was looking for some top competitors to represent them and noticed them at the show. Mady Carter has been competing with UFE since she was 12 years old when she competed in the Junior Fitness category. She then decided to take up Bodybuilding in addition to Fitness and has been passionate about the lifestyle and about UFE. At just 14 years old, Mady is an advocate for a fit lifestyle and a diligent young lady, determined to make a name for herself in the industry. UFE is proud to be a small part of helping her achieve this dream by naming her our Junior Spokesmodel and making her a UFE sponsored athlete! The interest in this young fitness phenom has been building and on April 20th, Rogers TV decided to sit down with Mady and interview her about her lifestyle, competition and UFE! Well, you don’t become a 4-time UFE Junior Champion and not get SOMETHING. Scott McLelland has been competing with UFE now for 4 years and, in that time, he has not been defeated in the Junior Bodybuilding class which is virtually unheard of as UFE’s caliber of competition has risen exponentially. On April 9th, Scott won his latest Junior crown at UFE Spring Bash. Leading up to the show and since the conclusion of the show, Scott has been getting the recognition a young athlete of his caliber deserves. TNT Nutrition is now currently sponsoring UFE athletes Genevieve Scalabrini, Karine Pilon and Marilyne Meunier, who also happens to be one of UFE’s Spokesmodels. Genevieve will be competing for the second time with UFE when she takes to the stage at UFE Chaos in the Figure category. She then traveled to the USA and dominated over 30 girls in the Figure category the next week to come away with a 1st place victory. She is now due to give birth on May 24th and plans to stage her comeback at the UFE North American Championships on November 12th in Hamilton, Ontario. UFE Male Fitness Model, Jordan McGregor, Signed by Iovate Group!

Jordan McGregor made a mark in his very first competition, taking 1st place in the Male Fitness Model category at UFE Halloween Mayhem 2010. He came back a few short weeks later to take a top 5 spot in the Elite division at the UFE National Championships, proving he is one of the top male fitness models in the industry. So it should come as no surprise that some eyes were on him and he was snatched up by the Iovate Group to be used for their National ad campaign for Xenadrine Ripped. The Iovate Group is one of the biggest supplement companies in the world and also counts MuscleTech as one of their brands.

UFE Competitors Featured in the Oct/Nov 2010 Issue of Inside Fitness Magazine!
The latest issue of Inside Fitness will definitely convince you that IFM is now officially Canada’s #1 fitness magazine. It is now a hulking 243 pages and may well even be considered a weapon when rolled up! And it’s our pleasure to say that this great magazine is giving loud and proud coverage to UFE competitors as always! On page 26, Glen “The Man” Grant’s article features a shot of UFE’s top 3 Elite division Male Fitness Models from the 2009 UFE National Championships. Turn to the “Muscle News” section and you’ll find Matt Trudeau’s story of becoming the newest face for Perfect Nutrition ads. Matt has competed with UFE on several occasions and proves that you don’t necessarily have to win shows to get opportunities from competing. Beginning on page 224, IFM features a whopping 3 page spread of UFE Showdown contest coverage put together by our man, Glen Grant. Finally, on pages 238 and 239, find some candid shots of UFE peeps, including UFE President, Sean Everingham in the IFM “Around the World” feature.
13 Year Old Bodybuilding Sensation, Madison Carter Getting Overseas Attention!
Unfortunately, female bodybuilding has been a dying area of the fitness scene, but if there is one young woman who can inspire the next generation of drug free female bodybuilders, it’s Madison Carter. Madison is UFE’s Junior Fitness Spokesmodel and fans may have seen her at 2009’s National Championships event or the new, improved version of Mady with a whole new awesome routine at UFE Showdown this June. However, behind the fitness show scene, Mady is getting out and speaking to youth across the province about the benefits of fitness and a healthy lifestyle. And apparently word of this young phenom is spreading far and wide because the latest media to pick up her story comes all the way from the UK as they take an interest in what Mady is doing at such a young age! We want to congratulate Mady on all her hard work paying off and, at just 13 years old, there is a long and bright future ahead for this rising star!

UFE COMPETITOR, MICHELLE HANNAN APPEARS ON THE COVER OF NEW WOMENS’ MAG!
Michelle Hannan, who has competed with UFE on several occasions, including UFE Spring Bash in April, has been selected to appear on the cover of a new womens’ magazine called RAW (Representing All Women)! Michelle is on the cover proving that women can be hot, sexy and fit at 45 and beyond! Inside the magazine, Michelle talks about her fitness lifestyle, how she meshes it with her life as a mother and a professional and her philosophy on moderation and balance. In the article, she also discusses her plans to compete with UFE and even discusses her history with UFE President, Sean Everingham who trained her for her first competition 7 years ago where she won and soon appeared in Muscle Media Magazine as well! For a second issue in a row, you can find a UFE competitor in the pages of Oxygen Magazine as part of the Future of Fitness feature! The latest competitor to be featured is UFE’s 2009 Female Fitness Model Ultimate Champion, Karyn Marchment. Her write-up talks about her as the reigning UFE champ and the picture selected was actually the shot that she did backstage with UFE’s backstage photographer, Liana Saadi! UFE and our competitors are capturing more and more industry attention, and while both our events and our competitors have been featured in the #1 women’s fitness mag before, this issue is absolutely packed with UFE’s finest. A huge congratulations goes out to Karen Lisa Borders. Karen Lisa came out of “retirement” to compete with UFE in 2009 and had a dominant showing at UFE Halloween Mayhem followed by a razor thin runner up finish at the UFE National Championships. Now she is featured in a whopping 11 page spread in this month’s Oxygen, not to mention the fact she is listed as a contributor and is literally all over the magazine! Two-time Ultimate Fitness Champion, Vanda Hadarean is once again featured in Oxygen as part of a 1 page spread. UFE All Over the Feb/Mar Issue of Inside Fitness Magazine!
Let’s start with the cover of the February/March issue of Inside Fitness in which UFE Judge, Lyzabeth Lopez is featured after winning the position as the #1 Hot & Fit Female in the country! It is nice for competitors to know they are being judged by people with credibility in the industry and Lyzabeth continues to build her legacy as one of the top fitness models in Canadian history. When we turn to page 15, the beautiful Liana Saadi, who not only competes with UFE, but has been one of the photographers that has gained our competitors some great exposure (including a bunch featured in the Hot & Fit 100) is looking smokin’ hot in the ad for Milky Whey protein! On page 40, UFE Masters Fitness Model Champ, Keeya Osborne and 2009 Ultimate Champion, Karyn Marchment are featured in the Muscle News section. 2009 Male Ultimate Fitness Model Champion, Julian Scott rocks the issue with a full page ad he’s featured in for EAS on page 81 and a three page spread starting on page 178! Both features were a direct result of the photoshoot he was awarded as part of his title at the UFE National Championships with Arthur Kwiatkowski of Arsenik Photography! Now we get to the Hot & Fit 100 spread! UFE Competitors a Prominent Feature in the Dec/ Jan Issue of Inside Fitness Magazine!
We are excited for our UFE competitors as they continue to have more and more prominent positions in magazines like Inside Fitness, Canada’s leading fitness magazine. Our first showcased UFE competitor is Monica Winn with the announcement of her appointment as our UFE Spokesmodel featured on page 34 of the magazine. As part of her prize, she was given an expenses paid trip to Las Vegas for the Olympia Weekend and you can find pictures of her and UFE President, Sean Everingham at the Olympia expo on page 206. Karen Kryzanowski and Reza Poursaleh are becoming regular fixtures in IFM as the faces of Thermo-Lean and Ripped Freak respectively.
You can find Reza featured on page 55 and Karen featured on page 163. We are also very excited for top 3 Elite division bodybuilder, Ryan Lyn who is featured as both the author and model of a 4 page spread on triceps training starting on page 96. We are happy to see two UFE competitors prominently featured in full page ads in the fall 2009 issue of IFM! Karen Kryzanowki, the face of Thermo-Lean, appears in their ad on page 135 and Reza Pousaleh, one of UFE’s top Junior competitors, appears in the ad for Ripped Freak on page 139. Both Thermo-Lean and Ripped Freak are also sponsors of UFE and you can find them sampling their amazing products at our events.

Lots of UFE Spring Bash Coverage and Competitor Features in Latest Issue of Inside Fitness Magazine!

Look for Canada’s biggest and best fitness magazine on newstands everywhere featuring Georges St-Pierre on the cover and over 195 pages of Canadian muscle and fitness. Among those pages is loads of UFE coverage. Welcoming you to the magazine on IFM’s Welcome Page is a beautiful full-page, black and white photo of UFE competitor Tim Lochhead photographed by one of UFE’s star photographers, Chris Linton. On page 26, you will find UFE Halloween Mayhem 2008 Bikini Model champ, Monica Winn as she tells the readers about her plans to tear it up on the stage once again in the fall. Page 29 features a story about UFE competitor and a very loyal supporter of our organization, Liana Saadi. Liana, while still competitive, is now very active in photographing the fitness world and she does incredible work. IFM writer, Brian Bailey uses a huge picture of UFE’s 2008 Bikini Model Ultimate Champion for his story on page 60, making note of how "smokin’ hot" she is. Don’t worry people, if you’re thinking that’s really creepy, they are of no relation. A photo recap and show summary of UFE Spring Bash occupy pages 178 and 179. I think everyone will agree that the calibre of our competitors has stepped up several notches even since last year. The April/May Issue of Inside Fitness Magazine provides no shortage of exposure for UFE’s competitors and even UFE itself.
On page 133, IFM features a full page promo for the UFE Spring Bash show that takes place on April 4th, 2009. Pages 133 and 134 feature 2 of UFE’s Ultimate Champions from the UFE National Championships 2008 event: Michael McFarlane, our Male Fitness Model Ultimate Champion and Erin Bailey our Bikini Model Ultimate Champion.

Let’s start with UFE Male Fitness Model Ultimate Champion Michael McFarlane who’s 1 full page photo is prominently featured on Inside Fitness Mag’s welcome page. Next, on page 25, UFE National Championships Figure Runner-Up Sandra Lombardo’s smoking hot picture is featured as she reads the last issue of IFM. UFE National Championships Male Fitness Model Runner-Up, Tim Lochhead is featured in a 4 page workout feature in the middle of the mag, immediately followed by a 2 page feature of UFE’s first ever Female Fitness Model Champion, Michelle DeMaria (though Doug Schneider and SAF should receive credit for submitting that feature).

UFE Halloween Mayhem Highlights and Winners Featured in Winter 2008 Issue of Inside Fitness Magazine!
UFE Halloween Mayhem has become known as one of Canada’s biggest fitness events and is gaining recognition around North America as one of the most exciting and unique fitness events of its kind. As such, Inside Fitness Magazine was in attendence at this event to capture all the action at UFE’s second installment of this amazing show.
We are proud to see all of our category winners featured in the article and thank Glen Grant for taking some amazing shots and doing a fantastic event summary.

UFE’s Official Spokesmodel Featured on January 2009 Oxygen Magazine Cover
This is quite a success story for Sean Everingham and the UFE. While Sean was a trainer with Family Fitness in Hamilton, Ontario he noticed a stunningly beautiful young lady by the name of Ashley Harrison. Sean approached Ashley and told her that he thought she had the potential to do extremely well in fitness competitions and that he would like to train her. At the age of 18, Ashley placed a respectable top 15 among nearly 100 competitors in her first competition and was hooked.
At each show Ashley competed in, she continued to place higher and higher and Sean told her that one day, she would end up on the cover of Oxygen Magazine. When Sean began training in Mississauga, he and Ashley discontinued their training, but kept in touch. In 2007, at UFE’s inaugural event, UFE Halloween Mayhem, Ashley was a part of the competition and in addition to those who would walk away with top honours in each category, 1 person would be selected as UFE’s "Official Spokesmodel." and would represent UFE on all of our print material. The winner? Ashley Harrison! UFE was the first organization to realize Ashley’s true potential and when competing at the WBFF Championships in 2008,
Ashley was recruited to do a shoot for Oxygen Magazine. During this shoot, it was decided that Ashley would be the cover of their January 2009 edition…6 short years since Sean told Ashley she would one day make the cover of Oxygen. Ashley is not the only one that Sean told would be on the cover of Oxygen Magazine. Francisca Dennis is another young lady that Sean approached about the potential of doing well in competition and Fran has since gone on to be featured on the cover of Oxygen Magazine as well as in the magazine several times and is a top ranking figure competitor. Fran has also hinted that she may just decide to take to the stage at a UFE stage in the near future.

Melissa Traynor, who competed with UFE at our UFE Halloween Mayhem 2008 event is featured on the cover of the Fall edition of Nytro Fitness Magazine along with UFC fighter, Sam Stout. A look through the pages and one will also find UFE’s first ever Female Fitness Model Champion, Michelle DeMaria along with UFE’s first ever Fitness Champion, Liana Saadi who is also a contributing photographer to the magazine.
The Autumn 2008 Edition of Inside Fitness Magazine has Been Taken Over by the UFE!
Look for UFE male fitness model competitor Jeff Tinson on page 58 as a featured writer, something he has been doing for some time with Inside Fitness.
