UFE Showdown 2010

THIS IS HOW WE DO IN LONDON!
On June 5th, 2010, UFE made its debut into London after getting a lot of demand from the 519′ers to have an event in their neck of the woods. Well, we came and we showed London how UFE puts on a fitness SHOW! Lots of great competitors representing areas across Canada and especially London came and strutted their stuff on a stage that many people couldn’t believe was the same theatre they had watched other fitness events at. Not only did UFE give the competitors a top notch stage to compete on, we awarded each of our 7 Open class winners $500 CASH and an opportunity to appear in a video project for another $500 and HUGE exposure. Lots of industry people came out to support our competitors including our friends at Inside Fitness Magazine and top industry photographers such as Glen Grant, Liana Saadi, Chris Linton, Simon Lau and more. This was truly an event for the competitors and we thank all of you who are realizing that UFE is an organization that TRULY cares about the competitors and doesn’t just say it.

However, we weren’t going to forget the audience and showed them lots of love with over $1000 in goodies given out at the show. One of the highlights of the event was turning over our customary opening act to the audience. Ten fans made their way on stage and performed a 1 minute freestyle “posing routine” for a chance to win a $500 gift pack. All participants walked away with a bottle of Thermo-Lean from our awesome Title Sponsor. The audience gave back throughout the night in the form of lots of cheers and applause for our compeititors.

Finally, we finished off the evening with a UFE/Inside Fitness Magazine afterparty organized by UFE’s unofficial “Princess,” Liana Saadi. It was a great chance to let loose and enjoy the good times after strict dieting for months on end. It all made for an event we see growing by leaps and bounds in the years to come and we can guarantee you London, that UFE will continue to be the standard set in the industry for fitness events! Congratulations to all competitors; thank you to the fans, staff and volunteers and we’ll see you again in 2011 on June 25th! For now, we leave you with the full contest results!
