UFE Spring Bash 2009

bashLogo In only its first year in its new venue and second year being run, UFE Spring Bash more than DOUBLED the number of competitors who came to compete and SOLD OUT the venue. And we are not talking about a 200 seat venue; this was a 550 seat, over capacity venue and the crowd was awesome!

With UFE Spring Bash 2009, UFE took its place as the leading drug tested organization in Canada. While we put a lot of work into this event, it’s the competitors, fans, sponsors and media that made this such an amazing event. This year, with over a dozen great sponsors, we included a full mini-expo for our guests to peruse during down times of the event. The audience was full of energy and gave the competitors the excitement necessary to give it their all on stage and the competitors themselves were top calibre. This was perhaps the best lineup of competitors that almost any organization in Canada has seen and it only made for a more exciting and riveting event for the audience and all the media that was in attendance including top industry photographers and several of the top fitness mags. In fact, this could have well been a National Championship event with the calibre of competitors present and, like Mayhem ‘08, the scoring between these amazing competitors was so tight, that even a slight change in any of the scores could have dramatically changed the results. All competitors should be so proud. The fans should be proud as well for supporting the competitors and really giving them an exciting night of competition.

UFE must thank our amazing sponsors who allowed us to give back $3500 in CASH and $5000 in prizes to our competitors. We would also like to thank some great people including Glen Grant “The Man” who got so many great shots that you will see here. Liana Saadi who has been an amazing supporter of UFE and really gave the competitors something special with an amazing backstage photoshoot setup in which every competitor got a free photo. I would also like to thank Chris Linton whose support of UFE has only grown. Chris will be submitting the show summary and pictures to Oxygen Magazine where it will be featured in the next couple of months so stay tuned!
