UFE Showdown 2012

Now in its second year as an Open and Elite show, UFE Showdown grew significantly over last year’s event with more than 125 entries from competitors looking to earn the ultimate prize and the most prestigious distinction in natural fitness, UFE PRO status!

The event started at 10am with an “Open” level show in which competitors of all experience levels, including first timers, would have one last chance during the Spring Series to earn Elite status and have a chance to become eligible PRO’s! As with all of the shows this year, the caliber of the competitors was incredible and the audience let them know through thunderous applause how much they appreciated the level these competitors have taken natural fitness to. Top competitors in each category qualified to compete in UFE’s Elite division based on UFE’s tier system. While Elite status is good for 2 years, many competitors decided to go head to head right away with the best of the best in the 6pm Elite Championships.

Since the caliber of the “Open” shows this year has been so incredible, many were curious to see just how good the Elite competitors would be and they didn’t disappoint either. In perhaps one of the most impressive showdowns in the Elite division to date, the best of the best from several of UFE’s past shows and many Pro’s from other organizations went head to head to see who would come away with the most prestigious distinction in natural fitness, UFE PRO status! 14 new PRO’s across 5 categories earned the chance to become UFE PRO athletes and we are extremely excited to see how they do against UFE’s first generation of PRO’s at the UFE North American Championships, taking place in November in Hamilton, Ontario. However, this again was an absolutely incredible group of Elite competitors and all of them should be extremely proud to have competed at this level. We’re sure that many of these competitors will come back better than ever when they hit the UFE stage next in their quest to earn PRO status.
