What To Expect From The Workshops
The UFE Contest Preparation Workshops are for you whether your a first time competitor, thinking about competition, a trainer or even an experienced competitor.
For first time competitors and those thinking about competition, we demystify the process of final contest preparation by letting you know what those in the know are doing to prepare, what to expect leading up to a show and everything you need to know for show day in order to help eliminate the nervousness that comes from not knowing what to expect.
For trainers, what an excellent way to learn about the different categories that competitors compete in, what separates each category and the criteria that judges will be looking for in order to award maximum points to competitors in each category. Armed with this information, you will be able to help guide your competitors to the most suitable category and prepare them appropriately.
Those that have competed before will benefit greatly from our workshops as well; they are your chance to get a first hand look at the judging sheets used so you can see where you excelled and where you could make improvements. You will have a chance to talk directly to a UFE judge, a custom competition suit designer and UFE President Sean Everingham in order to get feedback on everything from stage colour, presentation to suit fit and colour selection and make sure that you are in the best category to help you excel.
The UFE Contest Preparation Workshop Includes the Following Topics:
- training in the last couple of weeks of competition
- supplementation leading up to the show
- nutrition and water intake in the last couple of weeks of the show including carb depletion/load
- tanning and miscellaneous showtime prep
- a review of all of the requirements of each category
- a glimpse of the judging sheets used for every category so there are no questions about how you are being judged and know exactly how to prepare
- a LARGE emphasis will be put on WALKING, QUARTER TURNS AND POSING! The only thing holding many potential competitors back from taking the stage is that they don’t know how to properly walk, turn or pose. Many others who do compete could significantly improve their placing if they improved all of these aspects!
- learning how to market yourself for media exposure and sponsorship
- posing suit selection as well as special discounts on posing suits for workshop attendees
We will basically cover EVERYTHING you need to know in order to feel ready for the stage. In fact, those who would like to be a part of our workshops are more than welcome to ask us to include aspects that they need to work on for their preparation. Please email us in advance so that we are prepared to most effectively help you out.
The cost of the workshops are only $60 and run for approximately 3-4 hours. All participants will receive a booklet outlining most of the pertinent info they need in order to be ready.
If you would like to be a part of this workshop, please email us at info@UFEshows.com so we can add you to the list. You must register in advance to be a part of this workshop and you should do so at your earliest convenience because we will only be accepting a maximum of 25 spots in order to ensure everyone gets enough personalized attention. Please make sure to bring your shoes (if applicable) and posing suits (or something similar) if you would like to practice what will be covered at the workshop.
The UFE Contest Preparation Workshops are typically led by UFE President, Sean Everingham, a UFE judge, a custom competition suit designer and an experienced Elite competitor who will help those looking to receive assistance with proper stage presentation. Special guests will often be a part of the workshops and have included IFBB Pros, industry photographers and representatives from various fitness related companies.
